The road will extend from the Cable-stayed Bridge in the municipality of San Pedro to Bonifacio Salinas in Guadalupe, Monterrey. In addition, a linear park is planned in the lower part of the viaduct, on the banks of the Santa Caterina River. The initiative will connect with Saltillo through the Santa Catarina Viaduct and link up with the new Airport Highway, offering direct access from Saltillo to the Monterrey Airport. This will improve mobility in the Monterrey metropolitan area and reduce both vehicular congestion and traffic levels in the city. The project, which will be implemented in 3 stages, is part of the FIFA Corridor.
