New S/E La Ligua

Description: Nueva S/E La Ligua High voltage electrical transmission lines The “Nueva S/E La Ligua” project consists of the construction of a new Substation La Ligua, which will allow the sectioning of the 2x220 kV Nogales - Los Vilos and 1x110 lines kV Quinquimo – Cabildo. In turn, the project considers the installation of a 220/110 kV, 90 MVA transformer with a Load Tap Changer (CDBC), with its respective transformation panels at both voltage levels, and the installation of a 110 /23 kV, 30 MVA with CDBC, with their respective transformation panels at both voltage levels. Both the 220 and 110 kV yards will have Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) type maneuvering equipment. The configuration of the 220 kV yard of the substation will correspond to a switch and a half with two diagonals for sectioning the line, plus one diagonal (dressed half diagonal) for the transformer and space available for two future diagonals. For its part, the configuration of the 110 kV yard of the substation will correspond to the main busbar and transfer busbar, with two panels for sectioning the line, a panel for the arrival of the 220/110 kV transformer, a coupler panel and a cloth for the 110/23 kV transformer. Additionally, the work considers the construction of a 23 kV patio, in a simple busbar configuration, contemplating a panel for the connection of the transformer, three panels for feeders, a panel for instrument transformers and a panel for the connection of the auxiliary services of the substation. For this patio, it has been considered to build it with Medium Voltage (MV) cells. The objective of the Project corresponds to the realization of the expansion plan of the Zonal electric power transmission system promoted by the Ministry of Energy in Exempt Decree No. 185 dated October 2, 2020, in this case, through the construction and operation La Ligua 220/110/23 kV Sectioning Substation. These works will allow the sectioning of the 2x220 kV Nogales - Los Vilos and 1x110 kV Quinquimo - Cabildo lines, which will contribute to improving the safety, continuity and flexibility of the electrical system in the Zone.
