Fiber

Description: The project contemplates the installation of a fiber cable that will connect the city of Boa Vista, Santa Maria do Boiaçú and Caracaraí, in the state of Roraima, and Vila de Moura, in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. This initiative is part of the fifth section of the eight that make up the Norte Conectado program, which seeks to expand the communications infrastructure in the Amazon region of Brazil through a sub-fluvial fiber trunk network. The infrastructure will benefit some 460,000 people and will provide a significant increase in connection capacity, with a transport network capacity that could reach more than 4Tbps in Boa Vista. The development of the initiative will involve a workforce of 51 people in its submarine cable laying phase.
