Description: The project “Omega Photovoltaic Park”, hereinafter “Project”, is located on Route 156 on a 22.9 ha plot of land number twelve in the La Capilla subdivision, Negrete commune, Biobío Region. It consists of the construction and enabling of a Photovoltaic Park, with a nominal power equal to 4.9 (MW) that will be built in a construction phase. The photovoltaic park includes the installation of 8,820 solar panels of up to 710 (Wp) each, in this way the Project will reach an installed power of up to 6.262 (MWp). The Project aims to generate 4.9 (MW) of electrical energy from solar radiant energy, as a source of Non-Conventional Renewable Energy (ERNC). With this, it is intended to promote the use of natural resources in the area for the production of clean energy, from a renewable and inexhaustible source. The Project addresses the generation of electric energy, which is a basic service, essential for economic growth and therefore the social development of the country. This is in light of the growing demand for this input for the economy and in line with Energy 2050: Chile's Energy Policy.
