Description: Operational adjustments Magnetite Plant Mining development projects over 5,000 tons/month The Project consists of a modification of the existing project, through the adaptation and operational adjustments to the operation of the existing project that was environmentally authorized through Exempt Resolution No. 115 of 20 December 2005, by the Regional Environmental Commission of the Atacama Region (hereinafter, “RCA No. 115/2005”). In this sense, the Project considers making operational adjustments to the processes and facilities of the Magnetite Plant for the next 20 years (18 years of operation and 2 years of closure) in order to optimize its operation, using the same existing facilities authorized by RCA No. 115/2005 and maintaining the maximum production rate of 3.5 Mt (Millions of metric tons) of magnetic iron concentrate (magnetite or pellet feed). In other words, the existing production plant is not expanded, nor is the environmentally approved production capacity. The objective of the "Magnetite Plant Operational Adjustments" Project is to make operational adjustments to the current operation of the Magnetite Plant, for the next 20 years (18 years of operation and 2 years of closure) in order to optimize its operation, without modifying the existing facilities (approved through Exempt Resolution No. 115 of December 20, 2005, by the Regional Environmental Commission of the Atacama Region (hereinafter “RCA” or “RCA No. 115/2005”), and maintaining the maximum production rate of 3.5 Mt (Millions of metric tons) of magnetic iron concentrate (magnetite or pellet feed).
