Optical Mesh - Campos Basin

Description: The project contemplates the installation of a fiber optic network that, in the offshore part, will interconnect 12 marine units, potentially with another nine. On the land side, a landing station will be built in Anchieta (Espírito Santo state) and the expansion of another in Barra do Furado (Rio do Janeiro). The project includes a ring-shaped optical trunk cable that will connect the landing stations in Anchieta and Quissamã (Rio de Janeiro); cables for network branches, including three possible future branches; terrestrial cables and deck modules; and umbilicals to join the 12 units: P-48, P-56, P-51, P-43, P-40, PRA-1, P-55, P-52, P-62, P-54, P- 57, and P-58. The objective of the project is to better meet the demand for automation, online control of units, reduction of logistics costs and greater job security. The initiative will use non-repeatable technology, which is simpler and enables a direct connection between the underwater branches and the platforms without the need to repeat the signal.
