Description: Optimization and improvement of biomass boiler, Inulina Orafti Chile Production Plant Power plants greater than 3 MW The project, called "Optimization and improvement of biomass boiler, Inulina Orafti Chile Production Plant", is located in the Pemuco commune, Ñuble region . The main objective of this project is to increase the steam production of the co-combustion boiler from 60 tons of steam / hour to 78 tons of steam / hour using biomass fuel. The operation of the co-combustion boiler will not be modified. Given the favorable structural conditions of the main equipment, the biomass fuel feed system, the reciprocating grate, the combustion hearth and the heat exchange surfaces of the evaporator and superheater bank will not undergo any change. The modifications required to generate the increase in capacity are basically concentrated in the peripheral equipment of the boiler, such as the water supply system and the combustion gas evacuation circuit. This Project considers the use of the co-combustion boiler throughout the year, being able to operate in parallel a fuel / oil boiler (both existing) during the campaign period. However, the ultimate goal of the boiler improvements is to dispense with the use of fuel oil / gas boilers permanently, keeping these equipment as a backup for the co-combustion boiler. Finally, with this modification, an operational flexibility will be obtained that will allow to increase the sustainability of the project as a whole. The general objective: · Increase the steam production of the co-combustion boiler from 60 tons of steam / hour to 78 tons of steam / hour using biomass as fuel.
