Wind Onshore Wind

Description: The initiative aims to contribute to the diversification of Uruguay's energy matrix, under the government plan that seeks to produce a 90% of electricity using clean and renewable sources by 2016. Pampa will use the wind kinetic potential from the Tacuarembó department to supply energy to the 82 2.1MW aerogenerators of the wind farm. It is estimated that the plant will produce 160MW, becoming the largest park in Uruguay. German development bank KfW and compatriot lenders Bayern LB and Euler-Hermes will finance 70% of the Pampa project. Local banks will cover the balance.
