It will also be part of the Bioceanic corridor that will connect with the border landmark IV. The project seeks to connect Bolivia, using the corridor, with the Pacific through the Peruvian ports of Matarani and Ilo. This is due to the importance that the region of Patacamaya has for the country because of its contribution in the trade, agriculture and livestock sectors, as well as being an important point for linking the country's road. The project will connect the towns of Patacamaya, Corocoro and Nazacara in Bolivia's La Paz department, approximately 100km south of La Paz capital city.
