Paving of the Sj X Arroio Dos Ratos Road - Section 3

Description: Paving of a local road. The proposal directly serves the rural area of the municipality of São Jerônimo, which has 7,082 inhabitants, indirectly benefiting the entire coal region estimated at 159,147 inhabitants [IBGE -2021]. The main agricultural crops will benefit: soybeans (40.7%), rice (20.7%), tobacco (16.3%), watermelon (9.1%), corn (6.1%); agricultural producers: cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. The local road is a natural bed, becoming practically impassable on rainy days, where heavy vehicles get stuck and traffic is interrupted. The paving of this access road that connects the rural area to the administrative center qualifies the productive flow and foresees a reduction in the rural exodus, also strengthening the diversification of crops on the properties. The purpose of this project is to achieve a 5% increase in revenue from agricultural production, allowing the fulfillment of demands with a broad socioeconomic impact on the development of the municipality, expanding job offers, improving the living conditions of the population and reducing bottlenecks in transport corridors, thus enabling improvements and adaptations to the existing road, reducing freight and vehicle maintenance costs.
