Description: The project consists of expanding the photovoltaic electrical energy generation capacity of the Girasoles Solar Park, located in Parcela 7, Quebrada Honda, Commune of Curacaví, Province of Melipilla, Metropolitan Region. The Girasoles Photovoltaic Solar Park is at the end of its construction phase, and has a nominal generation capacity of 2.96 MW. The expansion project consists of adding 2.0 MW with the additional installation of photovoltaic panels, distributed inverter units and a transformation center on a 3-hectare area adjacent to the project. The Los Girasoles Photovoltaic Solar Park will produce electrical energy using non-conventional renewable energies (NCRE) whose generation capacity will be expanded to 5.0 MW total, for delivery to the national distribution network. The general objective of the “PMGD Girasoles 2 project repowering” project is to expand the electric power generation capacity from 2.96 MW to 5.0 MW to deliver to the national distribution system.
