Porto Central is considering implementing a multipurpose private port industrial complex that will connect with the main oil and gas fields in the southeastern states of Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. It will be a deep-water port capable of receiving deep-draft vessels, such as Valemax and VLCC - Very Large Crude Oil Carrier, and will contribute to the mobilization of liquid and solid bulk cargo, agricultural products, marine inputs, minerals and general cargo. The port will be implemented through the following phases: Phase 1: Liquids Terminal 01, Energy Pole, Service Base and CDA 01. Phase 2: LNG Terminal. Phase 3: Iron Ore Terminal 01, Grain Terminal 01, Liquids Terminal 02, Service Base and CDA 02. Phase 4: General Cargo Terminal 01, Container Terminal 01, Iron Ore Terminal 02, Grain Terminal 02, Offshore Support Base, Coal Terminal and Fuel Terminal. Phase 5: Ro-Ro Terminal, Shipyard, Fertilizer Terminal, General Cargo Terminal 02, Industrial Area/Warehouse. The project will be located on the border of Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro, in the municipality of Presidente Kennedy, on the southern coast of the state. It will aim to serve sectors such as oil and gas, minerals, granite, agriculture and the automotive industry, among others. It will also be capable of receiving the largest and most modern ships in the world.
