Also, it contemplates a transmission system of restricted interest consisting of a step-up substation and a transmission line, interconnecting to the Rio Novo do Sul step-up substation. The initiative, which will be fueled by 6.5Mm3/d of liquefied natural gas (LNG), will inject the produced power into Brazil's National Interconnected System (SIN). The plant is the second phase of the 3GW Gas Natural Açu (GNA) power project being developed in the Port of Açu, Rio de Janeiro.
