Porto Norte Fluminense Thermoelectric Park

Description: The project entails the construction of a thermoelectric park, consisting of two natural gas combined cycle plants (UTE Porto Norte Fluminense I and UTE Porto Norte Fluminense II), and a transmission line that will connect the units to the National Electric System (SIN). In addition, it will have an offshore and onshore natural gas regasification, compression and decompression station, a natural gas processing unit (UPGE), a maritime gas pipeline, a maritime oil pipeline, a ship mooring system, an onshore gas pipeline, water supply pipelines with intake from the Itabapoana River and water supply pipelines with intake at sea and desalination treatment, a water treatment plant, vessels with cryogenic tanks to transport LNG from the dock to the rock fill and a cryogenic pipeline from that point to the port. The project is expected to take 48 months to complete, taking into account the months for planning, project development, staff recruitment, mobilization and dismantling of the works. In addition, the project is expected to generate more than 4,000 jobs, of which 840 will be direct and 3,200 indirect during the construction and operation phases. The park will be located in the district of Buena, municipality of São Francisco de Itabapoana, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The area where it will be located is shaped like a trapezoid, with 1,000m of frontage on the RJ-196 highway, an approximate distance of 1,000m to the beach and 1,500m of frontage on the sea.
