Description: The general objective of the project is to enable and implement a passenger and cargo rail transportation service that expands the current Metro Valparaíso passenger transportation network. The development of this infrastructure will extend the advantages of rail connectivity to a beneficiary population of 1,118,449 people. Specifically, the operation of the service will allow significant savings in travel times and greater safety for passengers. At the same time, it will have positive impacts for the entire community thanks to the reduction of polluting emissions, improvement of vehicle and pedestrian safety, and reduction of road congestion, among other factors that contribute to having better cities for people.
