Description: The company “Arriendos y Servicios DAYMA Ltda.” Created in 2013, it is a company that is currently dedicated to the extraction of aggregates in the municipality of Copiapó. Prior to the company presenting the Project, the quarry was exploited by the company's partner since 2008. In this way, it is possible to establish that the quarry has been in the process of exploitation for 11 years, of which 6 are under the company of "Leases and Services DAYMA Ltda.". The activity consists of the average monthly extraction of 8,000 m3 of aggregates (gravel, gravel, sand and bolons) from a quarry located in the Bodega sector for subsequent commercialization, mainly within the same city. The extraction is done from a quarry through the use of heavy machinery. The material is then taken to screens and crushers that separate the extracted material by size. The material generated both from the selection of screens and by the crushing machines is collected according to size, waiting to be transported to the final customer. Currently, the area where all the works and activities associated with the extraction process are carried out reaches 8.1 8 Ha of surface, of which 3.96 Ha correspond to a complete removal of soil (extraction well). The remaining area is occupied by the different works and structures typical of the extraction activity. The volume of material extracted in the 3.96 Ha reaches approximately 550,000 m3. During the remaining exploitation time, it is estimated that the additional removal of soil to obtain material (extraction well expansion) will reach approximately 1.15 Ha (with an approximate extraction volume of 160,000 m3). It is worth mentioning that the company is also authorized under resolution No. 412 dated March 29, 2010 of the Copiapó Municipal Works Directorate to function as landfill, for which debris is received at the site and used to fill in the extraction well. Objective The following environmental impact statement (DIA), regularizes before the environmental authority the extraction activity of aggregates, in order to assess whether it complies with current environmental regulations and can authorize by obtaining a qualification Resolution environmental (RCA) favorable for the operational continuity of the company.
