The total power supplied by the plant, measured in the Montevideo Collector System, is 87,000kW for normal regime; the guaranteed power is 65,000kW and the annual energy amounts to about 400 million kWh. The core of the plant is comprised of three vertical axis Kaplan type hydraulic turbines, with an operating speed of 79rpm, with a total capacity of 570 cubic hectometres and retains a volume of water of 100 square kilometers. These turbines can work with a difference in lake level between 10.50m and 19.00m. This plant has operated uninterruptedly since its inauguration in July 2020.
