Description: The project contemplates the construction and operation of the first phase of a data center in the municipality of São João de Meriti, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The data center will be connected to two other data centers in Rio de Janeiro: RJ1 and RJ2. They will all be connected to each other, including a redundant fiber link between RJ2 and RJ3, creating a highly interconnected ecosystem that maximizes the value of the platform. The data center will adopt Cool Array technology, which consists of a highly efficient cooling system in terms of volume of hot air per unit of energy consumed. The technology is used as part of an in-slab cold flood/hot corridor containment scheme. In addition, it will be supplied with 100% renewable energy from wind and solar sources through certified suppliers, and is expected to operate at around 27°C (80°F). The initiative is geared towards co-location services, classified as IBX data centers. In addition, the new data center is also intended to be used for AI (artificial intelligence) computing.
