The construction of the highway will decongest the northern area of Santa Cruz, and will save the transporters more than two hours and reduce 70km of travel, avoiding the need to enter the cities of Montero, Warnes and Santa Cruz. It will help improve terrestrial connectivity, boost agricultural and commercial activities, since it will open the agricultural frontier, allowing 500,000ha of various products, such as soy, cotton, corn and sorghum to be accessible; and contribute to boost tourism in the east and south of the country. This road network forms part of the area of influence of Bolivia's main national and international export corridor, known as the east-west corridor, which allows Peru and Chile to join Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil. The project will be built throughout Santa Cruz, Las Cruces, Buena Vista in Bolivia.
