Its main purpose is to prevent freight trains from crossing the city of Santa Fe, connecting the tracks located in the town of Laguna Paiva (Branch C), connecting with the main branch of the Belgrano Railroad at the height of Santo Tomé (Branch F1). The project will be linked through the new ports access in Timbúes to the future Multipurpose Terminal of the Port of Santa Fe.
