After the expansion, terminal size will reach 600,000m2. The construction will generate approximately 7,000 direct and indirect jobs. Brazil's new private port terminal aims to bring a number of benefits to the entire country, in addition to functioning as a commercial engine, bringing Paraná closer to the main world trade routes. Porto Pontal will also be one of the most modern terminals in Latin America and the first in the country to operate on rail. The terminal will be built in the municipality of Pontal do Paraná, located at the entrance to Paranaguá Bay, a region known as Ponta do Poço. Its privileged and strategic location for Mercosur saves more than one hour of docking time compared to the Port of Paranaguá.
