The project would allow agricultural expansion in the region by providing water resources to 10,000ha. The aqueduct starts from Tijuana at the Arturo Herrera Wastewater Treatment Plant, then connects with the La Morita Wastewater Treatment Plant; it crosses the Baja California wine route until the discharge points in the Guadalupe Valley.
