Description: The project includes the construction of two tunnel outfalls of 20 feet in diameter and 20 miles (32km) long in total, which will collect the sewage and prevent it from flowing into the Machángara River, in order to clean the waters of the rivers. Quito. The construction of these outfalls is essential to achieve the decontamination of the rivers surrounding the urban centers of Quito and is an essential requirement for the future Wastewater Treatment Plant ( WWTP ) to have wastewater to be treated. The emissaries are: Tola - Vindobona with a length of 27.6 km (17.14 miles) San Antonio - Vindobona with a length of 2.4 km (1.5 miles) At 180 MGD The project is one of the components of the Vindobona Project, which, in turn, is part of the Quito River Decontamination Program.
