Description: Urban drainage in the Severino Afonso neighborhood in the municipality of Caruaru - PE. Residents of the locality, approximately 2,977 inhabitants, especially the 1,786 inhabitants directly affected by frequent flooding. In addition, the project also benefits the general population of Caruaru, by improving living conditions, safety and urban sustainability in the city. Frequent flooding in the Severino Afonso neighborhood, in Caruaru-PE, caused by the lack of adequate urban drainage infrastructure. These floods generate insecurity for residents, damage properties, aggravate sanitary issues, make daily life difficult and compromise public health. In addition, the lack of an efficient drainage system limits the socioeconomic development of the region, devalues properties and prevents the improvement of the community's quality of life. Reduction of flooding, improvement of drainage infrastructure, increase in public safety and health, local socioeconomic development, real estate appreciation, greater community resilience and promotion of urban sustainability. The results will be measured by the reduction of flooding incidents, infrastructure assessments, public health indicators, economic growth of the region, property values, community engagement and quality of life indicators.
