Description: The project calls for expansion works at the Viracopos international airport. Passenger flow is expected to increase to 22mn/y from 7.5mn/y. The project will employ some 5,600 workers during the construction stage, and 575 workers as permanent staff and 1,265 contractors when in operation. The new terminal, covering a total area of 110,000ha, will include 28 ‘finger' slots for aircraft and seven new remote positions reachable by bus.
