El Salvador’s power and telecommunications regulator SIGET released the quarterly update of the price of electric energy to be transferred to tariffs, which will be in force as of April 15, where the MWh will have a price of US$119.54 and the average price to the final consumer will be US$0.1575/kWh.

In the same quarter of last year, the price was US$119.42/MWh, which shows price stability, according to the watchdog.

SIGET also attributed pricing to the start of operations in 1Q21 of the 9.9MW Ecosolar photovoltaic park and the 54MW Ventus wind farm, the latter of which is the first such plant of its type in the country.
